The CompoLloid series is a new composite material for thermal management and thermal countermeasures, developed by ThermoGraphitics (TGC), which utilizes ultra-high thermal conductivity graphite with a thermal conductivity of 1700 W/mk as its core substrate.
CompoLloid products include those that bond metal or ceramic to graphite plates (either sandwiching the graphite or bonding it on one side) and those that metallize graphite plates for a plated finish. By leveraging the properties of the composite counterpart materials, it is possible to significantly enhance thermal conductivity.
In terms of thermal countermeasures and management, it demonstrates tremendous effectiveness in "heat dissipation, heat diffusion, temperature rise, temperature uniformity, cooling, heat collection, and cooling."
Furthermore, it can provide added value such as miniaturization, weight reduction, operational stability, performance improvement, longevity, design appeal, and eco-friendliness to customers' products, thereby enhancing differentiation and competitive advantage, making it a total cost solution product.
Since its launch, CompoLloid has achieved prototype results for over 150 customers, particularly receiving support and attention from clients in the automotive, aerospace, medical device, and computer industries, with full-scale mass production scheduled to begin in March 2012.
